'Counsellor' Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt Looses Title
The Ghana Psychology Council has announced that Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, popularly known as counselor Lutterodt has no qualification to be referred to as a counselor.
The council has therefore appealed to the media not to acknowledge him as a counselor and to stop giving him Radio or Tv platforms or publishing statements from unqualified persons like his caliber.
As controversial he is known to be, George Lutterodt recently made a statement that ladies in their natural hair were depressed. This statement drew the attention of the Psychology Council, who says is false and unscientific.
“The Psychology Council wishes to caution that media houses which air unfounded statements from unlicensed persons are contravening the laws of Ghana and propagating falsehood with the aim of deceiving and harming the good people of the country. Such statements are threats to the health of our country and should be discouraged and condemned by all,” the press release read in part.
The Psychology also called on the National Media Council ( NMC) to sanction media houses who violate the law. It especially mentioned Okay FM and Abeiku Santana who continue to refer to George Lutterodt as a counselor.
